Some of the things we have donated and provided for the School over the past 2 years include:-

The Committee is at present about 20 strong but at the end of each year we inevitably lose a couple of Committee members as girls leave the school. So every September we encourage parents who are new to Stags to come and help us as it is a great way to meet other parents and get involved with the School. You may be a parent with your daughter just starting in Year 7 or your daughter may have been at the School for some time. We don’t mind when you join, offer to help or start a Gift Aid donation – you will be welcome at any time.

The PTA has grown from strength to strength year on year and last May we held our first Ball which was a fantastic success. Our events also include an annual Christmas Fair and a Quiz Night. In addition we help the School at events such as Open Evening, concerts and musical productions. However with Government funding restricted and budgets even tighter our help is needed more than ever.

So how can you help?

One way would be to join our Committee. This would involve coming to meetings about once every half term and helping organise some of our events. Our Committee meetings are never dull and although serious in content we try to make sure we enjoy ourselves when we get together. Another way is to volunteer to help at one of our events such as setting up, running a stall, marshalling the car park, serving refreshments, to name a few. We are always looking for new helpers not only to lend a physical hand but also to bring new ideas and outside contacts. For example, maybe you have a skill or work contact that can help the School; maybe you or your company could donate items to the School? Or you may have new ideas or experience for fundraising events?

If you really don’t have any spare time but would still like to help the School then please consider donating to the School Fund which is gift aided and is a tax efficient way for us to raise funds. A significant number of parents already contribute this way on a monthly basis but the School desperately needs more funds to invest in improving and upgrading facilities for your daughters. Although the PTA has managed to provide a number of superb additions to the School over the past couple of years there is plenty of work still to be done which cannot come from the normal Government budget. This is where you can help by donating through the PTA. If you would like to donate to the School Fund please download a form and return to the school reception marked "Stags PTA".
