Process of Appointment and Job Description for Games Captain and Deputy Games Captain

All year 12 students are invited to apply for this post.

Word processed letters of application (maximum 1 side) together with a word processed curriculum vitae should be sent to Head of PE.
Interviews will be held during November.

Job Description

To assist in the following activities and encourage fellow senior pupils to help in the following duties:

• Junior trials for all the various sports.
• Extra-curricular clubs, team practices and lessons where support is needed for very slow learners.
• Scoring, basic officiating or team managing at inter-school athletics meetings.
• Gymnastic or dance displays; evening and afternoon performances.
• Assistance with special events from time to time. This might include an activity day for primary school pupils.
• Inter house events: scoring, time keeping, officiating.
• Inter-school tournaments held at school: scoring, time keeping, refreshments.
• Present an end of term Games Report to the school in the final assembly.
• On a weekly basis, sort out PE lost property.
• To undertake any other duties they may be reasonably called upon to undertake by the head teacher
