Admissions Policy

St Albans Girls’ School is a community school and, therefore, admissions to the school in years 7 – 11 is administered solely by Hertfordshire local authority.

Criteria are determined and confirmed by the authority, after consultation annually.

Parents of students in year 6 wishing to apply for a year 7 place will be provided with a booklet by the authority setting out the criteria and the process for application.

The closing date for online submissions for September 2010 is Friday 23rd October.

In year admissions

Parents who move into the area during the year and wish to apply for a place should contact ‘Admissions’ at County Hall, Pegs Lane, Hertfordshire 01992 555555.

Criteria for admission to the 6th form are published annually. Enquiries should be made to Mrs Ainsworth at the school 01727 853134.
